I would say, I’m committed to my craft as a visualist. I’m an artist, musician and most recently, a shirt maker.  After 20 years as a creative and fashion director in publishing, we launched a shirt company and took a chance, and so ROGER CHARLES NEW YORK was born.
I took my love of style, my country, the landscape and our history, and created a shirt collection made in America by American workers.  We echo the past, while focused forward on pure American mens style.  We are in a time of collective searching.  We all need to make the future happen.  Not only for ourselves, but for all.
We at ROGER CHARLES NEW YORK believe in American craftsmanship and know how.
What are you committed to?  Let us know!
Best,
Kevin Charles Stewart

ROGER CHARLES NEW YORK, FALL 2011

We’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to ROGER CHARLES NEW YORK’s Fall 2011 collection: Echoes of 1885. Roger Charles New York is an old-school, shirt maker produced in the United Sates with a uniquely American taste and sensibility.

Company Overview:
ROGER CHARLES NEW YORK “The elegant American Outlaw,” founded in 2006. The boldly sophisticated shirt collection: a fusion of timeless style, casual elegance and modern classic design. Both Americana and eclectic in approach, Roger Charles New York melds the ease of modern design with the comfort of traditional shirt making. With clean details and luxurious textures in 100% cotton, these shirts bring to mind the undeniable magnetism of a sexy, confidant man who makes no apologies for his lifestyle.

Roger Charles New York is hand-crafted with true grit and made in the United States of America.

About Fall 2011
1885, the Gold Rush Era. In search of fortune on the frontier, much like today - thus begins the journey of the night crawler. His world is a mix of highs and lows. A dark and dusty spot anywhere in the world. It could be a border town or a red light district, he is there in the wee hours of the morning. The one who explores a city of night. Think: Nick Cave, Howling Wolf, Tom Waits, the edge of Bob Dylan, the American Outlaw and the Lost Highway of the Americas.

About the Designer
Kevin Charles Stewart has spent twenty years in fashion publishing as Creative, Fashion Director and Sittings Editor, holding posts at DETAILS, VIBE, GEAR, SAVOY and ESSENCE magazine. Presently, in addition to Roger Charles New York, he is Fashion Director of ESPN THE MAGAZINE. He has appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, Good Day New York, The Savoy Life and Simplify Your life on the Fine Living Channel as a on air expert, presenting men’s dressing trends. As a menswear specialist, it has always been his mission to convey practical and relevant information to men. He states, “I have never been a believer in being trendy for the sake of trendy. A wardrobe must have a foundation. It must grow with a level of comfort, knowledge and individual need.”

These shirts bring to mind the undeniable magnetism of a sexy, confidant man who makes no apologies for his lifestyle.  We
Believe in the echos of the past while remaining present in our new offering. Thus begins the journey with impeccable taste, a night crawler. You'll see him in many places, he's the one who looks perfectly turned out although a touch edgy. Onlookers are drawn to him because he's the sharpest man in the room. His world is a mix of highs and lows, the exclusive and private clubs that only creatures of the night gain entry, to dark and dusty spots in any town anywhere in the world. It could be a border town or a Red Light District, he's there in the wee hours of the morning.

Roger Charles spring collection is designed for the Brothel Creeper in you. The man who believes in the city at night. Think! Nick Cave, Tom Waits, The new edge of Bob Dylan, Vigo Mortensen, The
American Outlaw, The Lost high Way and the underbelly of all things pure and safe.
