Lets talk fashion, my personal style and how I became me.

Sexy I try to be sexy every time I get dressed in the morning. I think threw and outfit it usually reflects my mood or the music I had been listening to the night before night. To me is all part of the life I'm in. The way I look at things. I really do try to look at things with a keen eye. I study, I contemplate the out come the perception. That one might leave on a strangers as he or she enters a room. I have tried t always unintentionally leave and impression. In the tone of my voice. Its deep. Not Barry White more Isaac Hayes.
My ICONS are BAD MF'S! Those cats always left and impression. My voice is much like my Fathers when I speck I can hear his voice He is always with me no matter where I am.

I have had the fortune to visit many a places. I have traveled freely with ease. My work has taken me to places I had never dreamed of going. The top[ of a Glacier in Iceland, The Charles bridge in Prague at night. The Pyramids of Egypt and Mexico the temple at Luxor. Almost drowning in a Cannery Yellow Speedo of Sharm El Sheik. At the remains of the Wall in Berlin. There is a strange energy there. Few places give me a strange feeling. This place did. Palmar Morocco. To see the painting of George Sands at the home of Chopin. The painting was brilliant I was with my Mom. I was about 8 or 9 years old. George Sands was taller than most men I had seen. At least she looked that way in her portrait. My Mother explained a day later, who George Sands was. It seem to make sense to me. Every thing makes more sense when your young. I remember she ware a finely tailored waist coat I think!

My Mom got me use to traveling at an early age. She spent summers abroad with my sister and I. The trip to Spain began in a cream leisure suit. It was the 70s. You had a leisure suit for travel. Clothing packed in duffle bags the green army camp style. It was the way to go. Lean, only take what you'll need and could carry. A sketch book, pencils and some shorts, jeans and tees. It was summer vacation. Summers were the best as the son of a teacher. My Mom studied to get extra credits, She's and intellectual. Just one of the smartest women I know. A women of real guts and style. She recognized early on that I was and artist. She encouraged this. When I turned 18 years old, she took me to the Leather Man in NYC, to buy a pair of leather jeans. The sales men tried to sell the tight jean she was cool but not that cool. I went for the relaxed cut. That she would have to take in at home.

I have the cool Mom. No idea was to far out there. I had many when it came to dressing and style. When I went to collage at the School of Visual Arts I wore gesso splattered black clothing. This was the Jackson Pollock era of styling my self. I worked at Canal Jean Company on Broadway and found antique clothing this really got things going in the right direction. I was visual Director styled the windows and advertising. It is 1984. The world did not end it became very intresting. TThe Music The art having a job. Then I decided to become a ROCK AND ROLLA!

My wife is a stylish women too, a perfect match for me. Sexy an smart.

Back to fashion. Fashion goes hand in hand with my love of Music. I like my music hard fast and guitar based. I like great song writing. A mood that stays with you threw out your life. You can remember the way you felt, what you where wearing when you were listening to a tune in a club. I was a gothic much as I am today. High Goth style. I would call it. For me Halloween was and every day affair.

The 80s were my era of coming into my own. 2010 is a sort of flash back period. I'm up to my old tricks again!

I must mention this

We as Americans have a very short memory and even less knowledge of our own American history. We have become a nation of HATE and FEAR and loathing not all of us just a few fools who scream louder than the rest of us in the majority. This is no different then those who have tried to hijack religions. If memory serves me correctly the KLU KLUX CLAN was a group of Christians. I would call them by todays standard a terrorist organization. They terrorized African Americans. Burned Crosses the symbol of Christianity. They hid behind white sheets. Lynched African American men and castrated some, bombed Churches killed children. All In the name of HATE. Not very Christ like. Yes, we eradicated those extremist. Good overcame evil. As we are doing with those extremist abroad who we are at war with.

This is not to target a Religion or race of people. Those who would hijack a faith, are the problem. Not the majority. Those who would choose to take a stance of HATE against anyone, there is no room or place for this level of ignorance. We are a just people. Not narrow and foolish. Those who choose a political office must be watched with a close eye. We should never let and extremist rob us of our humanity. Or fuel HATE in their speeches.

We terrorized the native Americans and tried to erase a group of people. This today is known as a genocide. We in this country think, what we do not understand are who we should FEAR and loath.

In the eighties we backed the Afghans against the Russians to covertly see the end to the Russian occupation of that country. Then we walked away. (SEE THE: FILM CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR.) We left that country broken and forgotten. We did not build schools or set up and economy. We left only guns and Stinger missiles.  Now we are paying for all that in young American lives and billions of dollars which we do not have. Did you know that the US dollar is not backed by gold. President Nixon changed that fact. No one really knows what is in Fort Know. Sterling backs the British Pond, we just print paper with no backing. It is our monopoly money. Plus it is borrowed money from China. As are most things made that we consume.

Rome had time to change cultures this took generations. We are not ROME. Rome fell. Nation building is costly enterprise. Not in keeping with our national interest or the original mission of this Nation.

FEAR

I FEAR nothing and no man. I am and American and African American Man. I choose to live my life and hope that others live there's raising their families in peace. I refuse to think that a few extreemecest represent the entire body of any group of people. I believe in fairness. I'm a cent-race and a student of history. I believe in learning from mistakes and not repeating them. I choose not to be a fool. Or get fooled. Not to FEAR those who are different from my self. As and Americans we are supposed to have the right to practice any faith that we subscribe to. Any and all faiths. This is in the Constitution of the United States. Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion.

Hate crimes are on the rise. A few think they can again strike with FEAR and kill those who are different then them selves. This is no different from the KLU KLUX CLAN'S vision of an all white America. America will never be that vision. It will be tan. Some want to now turn their hate on Mexican and South American immigrants. Mexican people as I know them, believe in hard work. They cut the lawns hear on Staten Island, cook the food served in most restaurants. They believe in family. Now a few extremist want to use hate crimes against these people. There are more good decent people in this country, never loose site of this. The extreme factions in our midst must be monitored and brought to justice in the most swift manner. With all the tools of law enforcement to bare. This is a matter of national security.

Today someone threw something or broke into a landscapers van on my block and shattered his window. As I was driving up my block, I asked the man was he ok? He had called the police and was waiting. When I returned after taking my daughters to school there were numerous police cars on my block. Was this hate? I'm not sure, but I do know, there is no room for violence against any group of people? This is a matter of human rites and civil rites.

I hear a great deal of FEAR talk in our landscape. Pat Robert's thinks that Muslims are trying to over take his beloved Christianity. He's a radical and an extremist. He a man of God is full of hate. I believe he is suspect and his teachings are dangerous. He speaks to a small number of fools who would side with his FEARS. He may have a great deal to do with inciting "HATE CRIMES" in the name of Christianity. A religion he is hijacking not defending, lets not get it twisted. Those who would say that Jesus Christ was anti Gay. Were they there on the mountain side or at the Sea of Galilee as the man spoke to the gathering? How dare these foolish men speck or take the words of such a man as Christ and twist them. Turning them into words of HATE and in tolerance. These men are suspect a danger to us all. Our values our way of life. I am equality disturbed by the group of Hasidic Jews who stood with this man who wants to be Governor of the great State of New York City. This is extremest behavior. To say this man does not get Gays is an easy pass for him. I say there are no passes to be given. This is an old man and a fool. He is relic of an age of ignorance.

Who have we become America? FEAR is the mind killer. It makes us all small. When people are afraid they are dangerous, violent and intolerant toward any one thinking or different then them selves. This is a similar hysteria that swept Europe and Germany in the 20s and 30s. This is a dangerous path to take citizens.

The Church?

The church is out of control. What happened to love for all and all raw welcomed the supposed core values of faith. These are to be universal core values. How should decide if someone is welcomed at a PTA meeting or Who is to attend school and pay for that attendance? A Catholic school turned away a same sex couple and there young daughter. What going on? Has the church decided it needs no more for paying students to pay for their fine education? This child is suffering because of who is raising and loving her.

Are we to let this kind of narrow focus to stand? I say "no." No justice no piece? How does this go on in 2010? How can we allow this to stand? The folks The two women in question are raised Christians. The they value the church and its place in a life. They thought this was a place in line with they're thinking and faith. With the truth now known. It is not. This one parish or school. It is a place of exclusion. And slant headed in its thinking. We are better then this people. Have the agents of evil, taken over, gaining ground while we are busy with our lives. I think not!

I attended Catholic school for 7th and 8th grade. Immaculate Conception in Staten Island, New York. A small school with a nice church next door. They took my mothers money every month, but forbid me to take communion. A wafer, blessed by a man. A MAN! Who wears a black suit and has now, some of them cost the Church much needed funds. Schools are closing sold off, turning in to other places of education. Policies ruin a good thing. Narrow mindedness will cause great flux. With irreversible effects. With that said, I believe in the original message and some of the values. As long as it is inclusive, fair and tolerant.

This kind of action is none of the above? Who makes this kind of decision? Who decides who receives a Christian education? What would Christ say? Or any of the writers of the good books? Man should not interpret what needs to be done. We have not the wisdom or the full knowledge of the effects of our actions.
